How I used composite wood!

A barbecue area which badly needed a facelift was Wendy’s impetus for researching options, then she found composite decking products, in particular deck tiles.  She was looking for low-maintenance deck tiles and the solid wood composite decking was good as it was termite and white ant proof, which doesn’t splinter and won’t rot. So there’s no need for painting and oiling in future.  After seeing samples she chose CleverDeck tiles.  Her deck looks great “Everybody who sees it absolutely loves it.”  The choice of colour suited the exterior of the home what also appealed was the ease of installation, as they are a real DIY product.  With the price well within her budget, it was a good decision all round.

Bending the rules can be fun.  Living on the Gold Coast Heidi lives on a gently sloping corner block and she wanted the front fence to follow the curve of the street scape.  The challenge was to find a low maintenance material which could curve around the property. Working in the plastics industry, her husband heard about composite decking products and thought EnviroSlat would do the trick.  Using a concrete retaining wall in a level front yard and sections of slat screen panels which softened the overall look sometimes and the results look terrific.

EnviroFence fills the gap in the fencing market for an attractive, easily installed, cost effective, low maintenance boundary fence.  Using the strength and simplicity of a satin black powder coated, aluminium framing system teamed with the great looking low maintenance composite decking product, the tongue and groove fencing plank created a full privacy, modular, panel fence offering all of the features required in a modern quality fence; good neighbour, pool safe, strong, long lasting, time saving and great value.

Wyndham Waters Wetlands in Victoria used EnviroSlat cladding to develop shelters in the picnic area.  It is a stunning design which requires very little maintenance compared to traditional timber and is made from recycled, environmentally friendly material which is consistent with the wetlands environment.

The Water Park feature at Castaway Bay, SeaWorld has used CleverDeck Saltbush for concealed fixed decking.  The benefits of using CleverDeck composite decking on this busy access ramp is, it is easy to work with, slip resistant, low maintenance compared to traditional timber, environmentally friendly and it doesn’t rot.

There are so many other uses for composite decking products, these include park benches, picnic tables, various shade and screening devices, sunshades on a building.  It is an excellent option for gates, planter boxes and letter boxes.  It has even been used for jetties and boat moorings.

The uses for composite decking products are only limited by your imagination.
